The Scene
Comfy sofas wrap around a half-dozen cocktail tables while stools
surround another half-dozen raised tables at this casual throwback
lounge. Arrive early if you want a quiet meal and attentive service or
come after 10pm if you crave a wilder atmosphere when the music kicks
things up a notch with each night showcasing a different genre from
European trance to Latin salsa.
The Food
Appetizers are your standard finger food fare like
grilled shrimp skewers and
buffalo wings; yet the chicken quesadillas (crunchy whole-wheat
tortillas wrapped a blend of melted mozzarella and cheddar cheeses and
chicken breast chunks) were exceptional. Light eaters might favor the
teriyaki chicken wrap with onions sauteed in tangy teriyaki. The tender
8-ounce filet mignon is topped off with a red wine demi-glace to give
the beef a juicy kick.
